SORAYA PALADIN WINS THE QUEEN STAGE OF VUELTA A BURGOS

A very true race domination is what the Team Alé - Cipollini is doing in Spain, winning the third stage in a row (and overall) again with Soraya, who takes today at the top of the Alto de Rosales after 81.5 kms and 24 hours later her celebration in Poza de la Sal.

Soraya Paladin is one of the athletes in the best shape in these first 5 months of the season, where she could take impressive results in various races before arriving to win yesterday and tomorrow. At the finish of Alto de Rosales she distanced of 2’’ the Norwegian Stine Borgli and the Slovenian Ursa Pintar, conquering the leadership in the General Classification, which was leaded by her teammate Karlijn Swinkels in the precedent stages. Paladin is in first place as well in the points classification.

The Sports Director Giuseppe Lanzoni comments: It has been a great performance for the team, which has been able to close a very dangerous breakaway by seven, very strong riders. Jelena Eric has been fantastic to be in for disturbing. The team did the rest to chase them in 5 kms when we were about at 40 kms from the finish. It could be a dangerous action. On the final climb many attacks and counterattacks happened but we have been fantastic again to finalize the work with Soraya. A perfect day, we are very happy!”
