Important beginning for the #YellowFluoOrange Team of Alé - Cipollini at the opening stage of the Ladies Your of Norway (Åsgårstrand - Horten, 128 km) where the Commonwealth Champion Chloe Hosking finished in second place, behind the Dutch Lorena Wiebes; Soraya Paladin is also leading the Mountain Classification.
Chloe Hosking is back on a podium after 8 months: it is exactly since the Stage 1 (where she won) of the Herald Sun Tour in Australia on the Phillip Island International Circuit the last 3oth January that the athlete from Canberra could not reach the Top 3 of a UCI race. She almost got it last week in Sweden at the Vårgårda Classic, finished in place 4, before taking her target. Just the National Dutch Champion Lorena Wiebes did not permit to Chloe to celebrate a big win that could give her also the Yellow Jersey as overall race leader in the Ladies Tour of Norway. The Danish champion Amalie Dideriksen completed the podium of the stage.
Soraya Paladin was one of the protagonists during this very rainy day in Norway in this race which is valid for the Women’s World Tour: the athlete from Cimadolmo is now leader of the Mountain Classification wearing the Polka Dot jersey at the end of the Stage 1.
Tomorrow the race goes from Mysen to Askim for 133.6 kms. There is a final circuit of three laps which favorites again the sprinters.
