Alé BTC Ljubljana protagonist in the United Arab Emirates: 1st Bastianelli and 2nd Trevisi at Al Salam Champinship

The 2021 season of the Alé BTC Ljubljana team started today with an immediate victory. Marta Bastianelli, Anna Trevisi, Eugenia Bujak and Ursa Pintar participated in the Al Salam Champinship, an invitation-only race held in the United Arab Emirates.

The four girls of the Italian team competed with a special jersey made and personalised for the occasion. This was an important opportunity for the team and also for the local partners and distributors linked to the Italian clothing brand Alé.

The event - which is part of a series of initiatives aimed at promoting cycling and the use of bicycles in the United Arab Emirates - also had the aim of highlighting the women’s movement and some of the country’s athletes. At their side was the experience and internationality brought by prominent cyclists such as the representatives of Alé BTC Ljubljana team.

And former Italian champion Marta Bastianelli immediately made her mark with a victory in a small sprint, with her teammate Anna Trevisi to the second step of the podium. A good opportunity to return to taste the atmosphere of the races and the spirit of competition waiting for the official debut in the international calendar, after the last cancellations of the races scheduled in Spain, scheduled now for the end of the month in Belgium.​
