Alé BTC Ljubljana: season starts in Belgium with Omloop Het Nieuwsbland and La Samyn des Dames

​After the happy debut in the United Arab Emirates with the victory of Marta Bastianelli three weeks ago in Dubai, the time has come for the official debut in Europe for the team Alé BTC Ljubljana and it’s now serious business with two important races in Belgium.

The debut is set for Saturday, February 27^th with the Omloop Het Nieuwsblad WE (1.Pro) that will be race from Ghent to Ninove with the first taste of stones and walls of Flanders. For the occasion, team manager Fortunato Lacquaniti will line up at the starting line: Marta Bastianelli, Mavi Garcia, Marlen Reusser, Eugenia Bujak, Laura Tomasi and Maaike Boogaard.

On Tuesday, March 2^nd, Le Samyn des Dames (1.1) is scheduled to race from Quaregnon to Dour. The Italian team will face the race with Marlen Reusser, Mavi Garcia, Eugenia Bujak, Laura Tomasi, Maaike Boogaard, Anna Trevisi and Sophie Wright.

Team manager Fortunato Lacquaniti comments: “After the good performance in Dubai we are ready for the European debut. The girls have worked very well during the preparation period, we can count on a good group and these first two races will be immediately an important test to see what will be our level of condition in front of the best opponents on the international scene”.
