The Team Alé BTC Ljubljana has taken a very brilliant result in the Stage 3 of the Australian race, thanks to the 6th place by Anastasiia Chursina (Russia), already great in the opening stage two days ago, when she was protagonist of the main breakaway, and by the Slovenian Ursa Pintar, as well in the Top 15 of the stage. Anna Trevisi was also one of the active attacking riders, which means she is improving her condition after the long stop in 2019 due to an injury.
It was a hot day on a very tough route with many short climbs and gravelled sectors: the finish was uphill and the American Ruth Winder took the stage win and the overall lead in the GC. Anastasiia Chursina could obtain a very good 6th place, coming from the back of the main peloton on the short but steep climb of Stirling. She is now 12th in the General Classification
The Sports Director Gorazd Penko is satisfied: “The team raced very well, with a good pace. Anna was brilliant in the breakaway, then Anastasiia finalized with Ursa the perfect work by Tatiana.”
Adelaide will host tomorrow the classical final stage of 42.5 kms on its city circuit.
