One of the big news of this new season is the early begin of the highest category races compared to the past years. The Women’s World Tour starts in Australia and it is anticipated by the Race Torquay (UCI 1.1), which takes place tomorrow, January 30th for 104 kms overall on a circuit with 8 laps. The Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race will launch the Women’s World Tour on Saturday, 1st February for its first time in history: In fact the international calendar with the most important races started in Italy with the Strade Bianche since its creation. The start and finish are in Geelong, host city of the Road World Championships 2010, and the final part seems to be very interesting with the climb of Challambra Crescent, 1.2 kms with 8.3% average slope. The overall distance is of 121 kms.
The line-up of the #YellowFluoOrange Team Alé BTC Ljubljana is the same of the Santos Women’s Tour Down Under and it is composed by: Tatiana Guderzo and Anna Trevisi (Italy), Maaike Boogaard (Netherlands), Ursa Pintar (Slovenia), Maneephan Jutatip (Thailand) and Anastasiia Chursina (Russia).
