The athlete from Treviso of Alé - Cipollini jumps on the final podium of the Basque Stage race, behind Elisa Longo Borghini and Amanda Spratt.
An incredible performance by Soraya Paladin, who is in perfect condition since the beginning of the season, when she ended the Setmana Valenciana in second place. The effort continued with the Big Northern Classics until the recent results in Burgos and in the Basque Country, with two stage victories.
The result of the Emakumeen Bira is even more important, as it is a Women’s World Tour race, to put Soraya and the Team Alé - Cipollini at the highest places of the UCI rankings.
The Team Manager Fortunato Lacquaniti says: “May is very important for us, as we always show our greatest qualities to become a team to beat on every terrain. I have seen my athletes improving: Nadia, Eri and Jelena are working very well, Anna is very strong and Ahreum Na is extraordinary. And finally Soraya become a world-level cyclist in very few months”.
The final stage was won by Elisa Longo Borghini, who distanced Christine Majerus and Tayler Wiles by 4’‘. Soraya Paladin ended in 6th at the stage finish of Oñati after 156 kms.
