The Italian Women Elite Cycling Team will take part in two different appointments in the Netherlands and Belgium on Saturday and Sunday. A first line-up, directed by Giuseppe Lanzoni, will be tomorrow at the start of the Omloop van Borsele a semiclassic Dutch race of the UCI 1.1 Category with a length of 139.1 kms and the start and finish in the town of Kuipersdijk. The team is composed by Anna Trevisi, Jessica Raimondi, Jelena Eric and the home riders Karlijn Swinkels and Marjolein Van’t Geloof.
On Sunday it’s time to move to the Region Wallonie (Belgium), where the team will participate at the Liege - Bastogne - Liege, a Women’s World Tour race which ends the Ardennes week. After the start in Bastogne there will be 138.5 kms of race and 5, tough climbs: the Cote de Wanne, the Cote de Brume, the Cote de la Vecquée, the notorious Redoute and in the end the Cote de La Roche aux Faucons before the new finish situated in the heart of Liege, as it was in Ans until the last year’s edition.
