ANNA TREVISI 6TH IN VILA-REAL

The sprinter from Reggio Emilia finished in the top-10 the Stage 2 of the Setmana Ciclista Valenciana, which has been characterized by a route for the “fast wheels” and of about 100 kms overall. The Finnish champion Lotta Lepistö was the stage winner and the 6th place for Anna Trevisi is the second in the top 10 this season since the 5th in the Volta Valenciana. Nothing changed in the GC, where Soraya Paladin is 2nd with 6’’ behind the American Ruth Winder, and 1st in the Mountain Classification, with a point more than the Danish Cecilie Uttrup Ludwig.

Tomorrow there is the Queen Stage: from La Nucia to the Alto de Xorret de Catì for 110 km and a final for strong climbers. The slopes of the final climbs are terrible, reaching the 22%: a true “wall” of about 4kms and a height difference of about 500 meters, before the short descend to the finish of Castalla.
