ANE SANTESTEBAN GONZALEZ 5TH IN THE GIRO DELL'EMILIA

The spanish climber has been a great protagonist in the penultimate race of the year on the brutal climb of San Luca (Bologna), uphill finish of the 5th Giro dell’Emilia Women Elite, won by the Lithuanian Rasa Leleivyte.

In the first phase of race the peloton was leaded by the #YellowFluoOrange Team, represented by the European Champion Marta Bastianelli, the home-rider from Reggio Emilia Anna Trevisi, Soraya Paladin from Treviso, the Dutch Janneke Ensing and Ane Santesteban Gonzalez, followed in the Team Car by Gulnara Fatkullina and Fortunato Lacquaniti. The sprint to be in the front at the beginning of the final climb was prepared and Ensing was there with Santesteban: the Spaniard has been one of the best in the 18% sector, a double hairpin turn named “Curva delle Orfanelle”, and she could end with an awesome 5th place.

“Again a good work in this race” - said the Team Manager Fortunato Lacquaniti at the end of the Giro dell’Emilia - “the athletes have been perfect once again. Ane was awesome on her terrains”.

The fantastic #YellowFluoOrange season ends tomorrow with the GP Bruno Beghelli, where Marta Bastianelli is the winner of the last edition.
