The second part of the season of the #YellowFluoOrange Team starts on Wednesday, 7th June in Great Bretain with the Women’s Tour, part of the Women’s World Tour that anticipates the big appointment of the Giro Rosa.by three weeks. The Sports Director Fortunato Lacquaniti brings to England a top-level line-up, captained by Chloe Hosking and Marta Bastianelli, with their strong teammates Janneke Ensing, Romy Kasper, Anna Trevisi and Daiva Tuslaite.
The Women’s Tour 2017 has five stages: the big start is with a 147.5 kms long one from Daventry to Kettering, with two climbs. The following stage is truly tougher in Stoke-on-Trent, as the climb of Gun Hill is only 20 kms from the finish line. The longest day is the third, 151 kms between Atherston and Royal Leamington Spa, and the queen stage is on Saturday in Chesterfield. The overall leader will be awarded on Sunday in London after the Stage 5, with start and finish in Regents Street after 88 kms.
“This Women’s Tour” - declared the Sports Director Fortunato Lacquaniti - “is very important for us. The Great Britain is always a very prestigious showcase and we are close to race the national championships and the Giro Rosa. The determination is very high and we go to England to take the best result”.
