Marlen Reusser wins ITT second stage of Simac Ladies Tour and becomes leader

After the national title and the silver medal at the Olympics in Tokyo 2020, the Swiss Marlen Reusser today took another great satisfaction going to win the ITT second stage of the Simac Ladies Tour, in Holland, round of the UCI Women’s WorldTour.
A victory that confirms the shape and the high level reached by the athlete of the team Alé BTC Ljubljana, a success that repays the whole team and that allows the Swiss athlete also to wear the yellow jersey of the leader of the general classification of the important Dutch stage race.
Marlen Reusser covered the 17 km course, starting and finishing in Gennep, in 20:41 at an average speed of 49,315 km/h. A super performance that allowed the Swiss champion to leave behind two other great specialists of the time trial as the Dutch Ellen Van Dijk (Trek-Segafredo) and Chantal Van den Broek-Blaak (SD Worx), respectively 18 and 41 seconds behind in the ranking.
Reusser now leads the general classification with 12 and 39 seconds respectively on Van Dijk and Van den Broek-Blaak. Tomorrow’s third stage will cover 125.9km from Stramproy to Weert.
