Marlen Reusser European ITT Champion in Trento

In the wake of the enthusiasm of the last valuable successes and great performances offered, the Swiss Marlen Reusser, athlete of the Italian team Alé BTC Ljubljana, won today in Trento the European Individual Time Trial title in the Women Elite category.
Superlative performance of the strong Swiss athlete who managed to beat the Dutch favourite Ellen van Dijk by 19 seconds. The podium was completed by German Lisa Brennauer at 1’02’‘, who was even lapped by Reusser in the final. Slovenian Eugenia Bujak was also in the race and finished in 23rd position.
A great victory for Marlen Reusser, after the Olympic silver medal in Tokyo 2020 and the nice stage success at the Vuelta. For her it is the first international title and the umpteenth confirmation of the talent and the great growth of this girl that with all the staff of the team Alé BTC Ljubljana and in synergy with the Swiss National Team coaches has worked hard to achieve these extraordinary results that repay the many sacrifices and make proud the president Alessia Piccolo and the team manager Fortunato Lacquaniti that with all the staff have cheered for Marlen.
The new Euroepan champion Marlen Reusser, 29 years old, to the microphones of the official UEC broadcasters said: “Today right from the start I realized I have great legs and then I immediately tried to give the best of myself. I made the first part of the course very strong, I found the right speed from the beginning to the end and everything went well. I’m too happy. Now my main goal is the ITT at the World Championships in Belgium, which I will race on my birthday, and I hope I can give myself another good present.
