Alé BTC Ljubljana immediately on the podium in the opening Team Time Trial of Giro d'Italia Donne

The Giro d’Italia Donne starts in the best way for the team Alé BTC Ljubljana. Today in the first stage, a Team Time Trial of 26,7 km from Fossano to Cuneo, the Italian team finished with a beautiful third place. Excellent performance offered by Mavi Garcia, Marta Bastianelli, Tatiana Guderzo, Marlen Reusser, Laura Tomasi and Anna Trevisi.

The race was won by Trek-Segafredo Women that stopped the time on 33’40 “at an average speed of 47.584 km/h. Second place to SD Worx at 8 seconds, while Alé BTC Ljubljana third, closed with a delay of 40 seconds.

At the end of the stage, the Spanish Mavi Garcia wore the green jersey of the mountain classification.

Tomorrow the second stage, of 100,1 km with departure in Boves and arrival immediately uphill to the famous ski resort Prato Nevoso, at an altitude of 1.470 meters.
