YORKSHIRE, BIRTHDAY ON THE PODIUM FOR SORAYA PALADIN

It had to be such a very special day for Alé - Cipollini: Soraya Paladin found the decisive attack with Marianne Vos and the Spanish Mavi Garcia, with who sprinted for the final, overall win in the second and last stage of the Tour de Yorkshire (Bridlington - Scarborough, 132 kms). Soraya finished third in the stage and the General Classification.

Soraya’s form keeps being extraordinary after the great performances during the whole first part of the season. Her Spring is on the top with todays’ results at the Tour the Yorkshire, the second most important stage race in Great Britain after the Women’s Tour, planned for the next month.

The attack of the trio resisted very well, until reaching a gap of 1’22’’ at the finish line along the North Bay of Scarborough (where the wind blew strong) from the first chasers Christine Majerus and Amanda Spratt.

This was a dreamed, wanted and reached on her 26th birthday! Congratulations Soraya!
