THE DWARS DOOR VLAANDEREN COMES UP TOMORROW

After the Ghent-Wevelgem of last Sunday, the second of the three big appointments of this week in Belgium is ready to start: the Dwars door Vlaanderen (“Through the Flanders” in English) is the event that anticipates the Queen Race in Northern Europe for the UCI Elite Women’s Calendar, the Tour of Flanders.

Six climbs and two cobblestoned sectors are in the route of the Dwars door Vlaanderen, from Tielt to Waregem for 108 kms. The six riders starting the race for Alé - Cipollini are the Australian Chloe Hosking, the Italian Anna Trevisi, the two Dutch Marjolein Van’t Geloof and Karlijn Swinkels, the Serbian National Champion Jelena Eric and the Colombian Diana Peñuela.

The Sports Director Giuseppe Lanzoni will guide the line-up from the car.
