The “Cycling Market” of the Alè - Cipollini - Galassia Team 2018 looks at the Far East, with the sign on the contract of the two-times Japanese Champion of the Individual Time Trial.
Mayuko Hagiwara is a very experienced athlete: as Elite cyclist she always performed for Wiggle High5 before moving to Italy, where she could take the best personal victory of the career, the Giro Rosa Stage Tresivio - Morbegno in 2015 after a long solo breakaway. She could become the first Japanese in women cycling to obtain a win in the Giro, on an historical day for the sport in her Country: this news came on the forst page of every newspaper in Japan, where women cycling improved its interest.
In the 2017 season Mayuko ended the Cadel Evans Great Ocean race in 3rd place last January and she could arrive 4th in the prologue of the Setmana Ciclista Valenciana in March. She also won a stage at the Tour de Bretagne 2015, the Road Race of the Japanese National Championships in the same year and the ITT Asian Title in 2016.
